The auto pay system is no longer working at Vesta. Everyone must pay by check this quarter or use their own bank system to be sure their account is credited properly. Please be sure to send your Quarterly Fee payment directly to First Horizon Bank, not to Vesta’s office.   Sending it to Vesta’s office will delay the credit to your account, and could result in late fees.

If you have the coupon book and envelopes that were mailed to you, use those or your own bank system. If you CAN'T find your coupon book, then follow these directions:

Make your check payable to “The Gardens at Bermuda Links Condo Assn. Inc”.  Put your account number in the memo section.  (If you don’t know your account number just add your building number and unit number).

Send your payment to:

The Gardens at Bermuda Links Condominium Association, Inc.
c/o First Horizon Bank, PO Box 11344
Naples, FL 34101.

On the outside of the envelope, write “Mgmnt ID 0036”.

Following this procedure will ensure that your payment is credited properly and on time, avoiding any late fees.

Community Association Manager for the Gardens at Bermuda Links

Residents of the Gardens,

We at Vesta Property Services pride ourselves in providing first-class association management services, and a big part of doing so is providing our clients with consistency.  Many of our Community Association Managers have accounts that they've managed for over a decade.  From time to time, circumstances require changes in Community Association Managers  To that end, we felt it was in our mutual best interests to reassign the Gardens at Bermuda Links to another member of our team, Saida Mamedova, with immediate effect. In anticipation of this transition, Saida has been peripherally involved in association business, and is up to speed with the happenings of the community.  Further, Michaela Neumann remains a part of the Vesta team, and is available to Saida for guidance.  Saida has well over a decade of progressive community association management experience in Southwest Florida, and is well qualified to manage your association.

For future assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Saida at our Bonita Springs office, at 239-947-4552 or via e-mail (smamedova@vestapropertyservices.com).

Best regards,

A Welcome Back Message from your Board of Directors:

On behalf of the Garden’s Board of Directors, we’d like to wish everyone a Happy (Happier?) New Year. By now we all understand the pandemic crisis that began this time last year will persist for much of 2021, but at least we understand much more about the threat and are hopeful the end is in sight once vaccine distribution truly gets underway. Meanwhile, it’s far better to ride out a crisis in the sunny Florida sunshine, isn’t it? Welcome to those Snowbirds who have been able to make it back for the 2021 season!

To start this 2020 retrospective, I’d like to thank the members of our Board and Michaela at Vesta for their support and endurance this past year. It was a year of uncertainty and challenges that none of us have ever faced. Frankly, had we known what was in store going in, we’d have negotiated a much better compensation package!

Two topics dominated BoD efforts this year: legal and financial risks posed by the pandemic and our insurance claim to cover roof damage arising from Hurricane Irma.

Pandemic Response: Closing community commons was a difficult decision for our BoD but, given the yet unknown health risk and the uncharted legal landscape we faced, it was the only responsible choice for us to make; we were acutely aware that any liability judgement against our association would come directly from our member’s bank accounts. Throughout the summer, we worked with legal counsel to ensure any decision to re-open common amenities was supported by a satisfactory level of protection from potential legal liability. We’re grateful to the community for supporting and following the new rules governing safe use of our commons and, as a BoD, we’re thankful this issue is behind us.

Roofing Claim: The current state of litigation between The Gardens and our Insurance carrier limits what we can disclose. Suffice it to say that we are fortunate to be represented by competent legal counsel who specialize in condo insurance claims and we are hopeful of an eventual outcome that will resolve the outstanding issues.

Other items addressed by the BoD this past year include:

• NEW Janitorial Service vendor: Miguel’s Home and Commercial Services is now responsible for cleaning common areas. Sidewalks will be pressure washed three times/year. Pool areas and restrooms will be cleaned every week and sanitizer supplies will be maintained. Pool furniture will be deep-cleaned once a year.

• NEW Lake Management vendor: Lake Doctor will control shoreline grass/brush as well as underwater and floating vegetation for the lake behind buildings 22 to 25.

• Maintenance: Pool restroom floors were painted and water fountains replaced at Pool’s 1 and 2; the pool heater was replaced at Pool 2. We incurred some unexpected maintenance expenses including replacement of 8 fire extinguishers, ongoing roof repairs and costly repairs for lightning damage to fire alarm panels in Buildings 30, 32 and 33 (this last item was recently covered by our insurance carrier).

• Landscaping: ... was unfortunately limited this year by the unexpected expenditures on other maintenance items.

Finally, it’s time for that one annual tradition that hasn’t been cancelled by the pandemic: our Annual General Meeting AND the Election for Board of Directors. Judging by the feedback we received during this past year, there is clearly an abundance of engaged and enthusiastic residents who care deeply about our community. We invite and encourage everyone to consider standing as a candidate for our BoD this coming year; the community only works if we have the engagement of our members.

Enjoy the terrific benefits our climate, our region and our community have to offer, but please do so safely.
Thank you,
The Gardens at Bermuda Links Board of Directors
